Discovery Kids Summer Workshops
The Discovery Kids Summer Workshops ran for the first time in July and August 2010. The workshops were popular with both parents and children and we look forward to offering them again on select dates in the summer of 2011. Look for our new schedule in the spring of 2011!
Your children will have a great time in the Discovery Kids Summer Workshops! The workshops are designed for children 5-12 years of age. Each workshop runs from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm and is an exciting and memorable addition to your family's visit to the museum this summer.
Workshops can also be pre-booked by summer daycamp groups
Workshops are included in regular museum admission and member's seasons passes. Workshops are available on a drop-in basis and caregivers must remain at the BC Forest Discovery Centre for the duration of the program.

Whirligigs & Pick Up Sticks
What did kids play with 100 years ago? Take a step back in time and have fun playing games like whirligigs, pick up sticks and marbles.
Junior Conductor
Ride the rails as a BCFDC junior conductor! Meet the engineer, discover how the steam train works and find out what it takes to be a conductor.
Marsh Monsters
Explore the Somenos Lake wetland for marsh monsters and other creatures. Go on a pond safari to see exactly what lurks below the surface of the marsh. Catch them if you can!
